I don't think I have ever researched as much as I did for this fic - I observed things in London (the James of New Row clock shop is actually real), 70's fashion, touristy pubs in Covent Garden...God knows what else. Experience with Dublin street signs is also authentic

That was really awesome. Really. The characterizations were on-spot, the relationships were great, and the entire thing was intriguing, entertaining, and compelling. Since I found this through the Sirius/Remus community, it rather surprised me, but it was awesome nonetheless.

I love how you balanced the funny with the melancholy. You also stayed very true to JKR's style, while giving it a flair of your own. I'm really surprised this doesn't have any other comments. It deserves them, and I can see that your hard work and research payed off.

No problem. I was wondering how I got to be a master of subtext when I didn't know it even...

I love JKR's little details about everything and I try to incorporate some of the whimsy and sparkle of it all into what I do. It was a great deal of fun to write and figure out exactly what was happening in that period.

I really thought you capture all the characters extremely well. The chemistry between Sirius and James reads entirely true. Their exchanges are paced naturally, like two blokes so familiar with the other that much is said by what is left unsaid. This is particularly the case in the wrenching ending. Really nicely done, from beginning to end.

The fight sequence in the first scene is excellent. Writing movement and action is extremely difficult, and the blows are expressed with appropriate detail amounts that keep things interesting without letting me space out. The timing is good in this scene. It seems witin Sirius' nature to possess powerful magic; he has Black magic in his blood, afterall

I don't mind friending at all - especially Sirius fans, since I seem to have a preoccupation with him.

Fight scenes I usually tend to avoid, because they are difficult to write, but I tried experimenting with this one. I wanted to make it fun enough so that people didn't space out, as that's what I tend to do when I read written battles.

As for Marlene, I can totally see her and Sirius having a bit of chemistry. I see him in a romantic relationship that is more...combative. That, and he would need someone that could stand up to him. There is certainly something of that here. <3

That was heartbreaking and funny and totally awesome. I love in-character, canon, realistic and not too romantic MWPP-Fiction - and this one just made my day. Especially Sirius was well characterised, but I also enjoyed the minor characters in the story. Thanks for sharing!

To be honest, I don't know all that much about the Ramones...I think I saw someone with a Ramones shirt on during the process of writing this and, with some research noticed they fit my period. But I am very glad to have made your day by complete accident!
