So, for a change of pace, stick around for some book awesomesauceness. Yes, I can say such abominable neologisms because I am no longer a real English teacher.
This looks interesting - I might check it out. Even the cover art gives off a creepy-strange vibe.
It's funny, though, because I got a little bit of second-hand Shirley Jackson through my friend, who did a research paper on her a couple years ago, and I had no idea that she wrote this... shows how much I know. :)
Shirley Jackson is just plain awesome. Read her short story "The Lottery" if you never have and just marvel at the construction of it. The Haunting of Hill House is part ghost story and part psychological thriller that still manages to absolutely creep me out for an hour or so after I read it.
We Have Always Lived in the Castle is a different brand of creepy entirely...
Anyway... I keep meaning to read that book. You know I love The Haunting of Hill House. But that is the only Shirley Jackson book I ever read. I suppose I should fix that. But first I need t take care of my rather decent sized fine at the public library.
And perhaps get caught up on the books I need to read for class.

And library fines are ill advised. Eventually they go on your credit report...
