Yeah, but I was supposed to be respectful and dignified....which I really wasn't. But cracking up completely ad utterly during your coordinator's speech would be bad at best.

Speaking of extended metaphors, I heard a great one on the news here the other day, related to the elections here (as they were counting the ballots in which Bertie's Brother was soundly trounced by an independent candidate):

"We're not going to count our chickens before they hatch now, . . . but there's a lot of eggs!"

Hahahaha, I love extended metaphors. As long as no one is making barnyard sounds at me during critical moments of decorum.
