Netbook

Looking to get a netbook soon-ish to supplement my use of Rodney (which cost a grand total of $568 and is not in the best of health). Anyone have any recs?

Not for specific computers, but-- keep an eye on Groupon? They often have netbooks up for a discount.

Not a fan of netbooks--for a little more, you can buy a decent laptop. ^_^;

True. I'm looking around at the laptops, but I'm really attracted by the size/weight right now - my back problems have been bothering me quite a bit this year, and I'm interested in something very easily portable. They have some smaller laptops for just a bit more, though...

I bought my Lenovo Thinkpad X220 for $800 using the shareholder's purchase program (www.lenovo.com/spp and they DON'T check if you actually are a shareholder.) That was October 2010--I'm sure you can get better for less

Oh, cool :D. I will definitely look into that. I was hoping for something under $400, but I may have to rethink that.
