Prostate cancer is miserable indeed but I've read that it's incredibly common to beat it. So here's hoping that's th e sitch with your dad. My ex-father-in-law had pretty advanced prostate cancer and is totally fine now and not missing anything but his prostate, so maybe that will give you some hope. I'll be thinking good thoughts for him.

What a lame-assed policy. I say spend this year wasting it on fun classes, but at the same time research scholarship and grant options. Perhaps you can get a lot more of it funded than you think if you do enough planning ahead.

Fuck, I've gone so long with no TV that I forgot to watch American Idol. I caught a little of it last week but then totally forgot that the huge hourlong special was on y esterday. Or maybe it was last week tuesday, see, I can't even remember. Lame!

Prostate cancer is a fear all men have, but I'll take it over breast cancer any day. As my dad says, "Prostate cancer is a disease many men get. While many die with it, very few die from it."

Do you have all of your prerequisites for an MBA? If not, spend some of that three grand on classes to work towards it. Not that you shouldn't blow some of their money on fun classes, too. You could raise some eyebrows taking a pottery course. "I'm sorry. I can't come to work today and handle thousands of dollars in accounts and invoices. I have to make a clay jar."
