So yesterday, I was snuggling with Mama in the big chair, and I sat up, and there was a cat! Right there in my room! Right on the footstool!

I touched it's ears and it didn't do anything, but I'm still not completely sure what cats are supposed to do. Does anyone have a cat that works? What does it do? How do you start it up?

I know special ways to make them make funny noises, but I don't think your Mama wants me to tell them to you.

Hattie is asleep right now, but I am confident she will be thrilled to propose a series of her experiments with cats for you to attempt to replicate with your locals.

I seem to recall from years ago that if you lift the cat by its tail, it really gets them going. I think the on switch is hidden there.

I have a functional cat, and it can do many things. The easiest fun thing to do with a cat, I think, is to take something long and move it around in front of the cat and watch the cat chase it. Cats like to catch things that move This may come in useful for more practical purposes later on, but you can start by just having fun. Have you met any annoying insects yet?
