First day of work -- SO FUN! I love the space. I love the people. Tomorrow, I will be working in my first drop-in group and will be subjected to what they call interrogation, which is when the youth go around in a circle and each ask me a question -- any question! I'm sitting in my living room with black hair dye drying on my head and I am listening to the Strokes. Tonight, I will be crafting with my lovely neighbours down below and, well, being neighbourly. I spent the last two days working at Directions. It is weird adjusting to the daylight. I returned home from work yesterday exhausted because I've been so used to sleeping when I get home. Guess who was called in for an overnight shift at Directions for tonight? This boy won't be sleeping at night tonight, but will be surrounded with excitement!

I just woke up from my first night of sleeping and it was so nice! I spent last night reading Harry Potter and watching a movie with the kitten. She is excited and running around on my balcony as it is spring and I have finally let her start going outside again. I slept in my bed last night and will be sleeping through the nights until Saturday, when I return for my last three overnight shifts at the Safe House. I had some extra vacation time and managed to shorten my last two weeks to three shifts a piece and cancel my shifts on the 30th and 31st. I finished the longest five-overnight stretch at the Safe House in a long time. I was concerned that it was going to kill me, but I survived it. I put in my notice for April 15th and am feeling quite free! I had an interview with Gab Youth Services on Tuesday and was called back for a second interview tomorrow afternoon.
