I was very happy to find a surviving BoB icontest community. It has been on hiatus for a while, but has been restarted lately. It could use some more members, so why don't you check out bobicontest ? :)

I just found a great icon-community, locale_stills . The community is just about to start and is still in need of members, so please join if you've got time and interest in making icons of special places all round the world :)
