Taxes Filed

What stinks is that I've been approx 30 minutes away from having them finished since February. All I had to do was look for a couple of forms (the bulk of that 30 minutes) and enter a few more numbers. Why I decided to wait until the day before the deadline is beyond me. Procrastination stinks. I am determined not to pass this disgusting habit on ( Read more... )

I usually try to get our taxes done early for the simple fact that if I have to pay in, I've got time to save up for it.

That's a good idea too. I usually do it in February so that I can make big payments on loans with my refund. I actually entered almost everything in February to see approx how much I would be getting back, decided to use it to pay down the line of credit I got for the adoption, and then just put off finalizing it until last night. :/

At least you weren't late, like I was with our property tax bill this time. I really thought I had paid it but... I hadn't. That was a $400 mistake. :(

Argh. Been there. Maybe not $400, but I've lost plenty of money by procrastinating. We'll do better... next time. :D~

The thing that gets me is that I was CONVINCED I had sent it. I wasn't even procrastinating! Argh. Yes, next time.
