Eroica letter writing campaign

I've been researching all the suggestions people made of possible new publishers for Eroica. After much digging around, I finally concluded that June Manga was probably our best bet; it was one of the few that doesn't seem to be cutting back and that deals with gay material. Plus they have a lot of titles, which I think bodes well ( Read more... )

Maybe it would also be useful to add something like "Eroica made me discover manga big time, and now I am a manga addict--I especially like your XXX series"

Flattery and a sense of self-importance will take you places.

I was thinking about photographing myself with the pile of Eroica volumes I have, as a "proof of purchase" and proof of fannishness. Obviously, I would crop out my face. ;) And I'd send a link, since people are understandably wary of attachments.

I need to check at home what I have from June, to give example, then I'm on it. But I do *have* several Junes I can tell them about. And I like the way they look. :)

Save Eroica!

\o/ Let's write!
That they have the older classic Ai no kusabi amongst their publications and that they seem (?) to listen to "popular demand" gives me some hope. I also hope they don't scare away from a series which is as long as FEwL. Oh well, everything is a question of the demand I guess...

Hmm just a thought. Are you certain that Eroica would fall under June mangas style ( ... )

If they are sister publishing companies I guess it won't do any harm if we are sending the same plea to both places! :)
Objections? Otherwise the copy button is your friend...!

I think it would be okay to write more than one? I mean, there are only so many times a single person can write to one company before they start getting annoyed anyway. :) And if both companies gets lots of mail about this, they might have some overflow - if June gets a lot of requests but feels it is not quite their thing, thye might tell DMP about it?

Definitely no objections.

And in another thought, even if we send all our pleas to June, when the firm decides whether to take over Eroica or not they themselves can decide in which of their sister publishers Eroica would fit most: DMP, June, Doki Doki or 801 Media.
