Forgotten goodies, corrections, and additions

As I've been doing the reviews of the stories, there are some things that I later realized I should have included. Others have made suggestions of lines to include, and our ever-helpful Japanese speakers have expanded on other information.

I've gone back and added these to the original posts. )

His first name is from Oscar Wilde's “Picture of Dorian Gray.” His middle name is from that, and another joke. In Japanese to English, the L and R are often interchanged--sometimes amusingly so. Led Zeppelin becomes Red Zepperin. Dorian Red - Dorian Led.

Oh, does it?
It is true that Dorian's name is named after Dorian Gray,
and as to the middle name "red," I read the author wants the Earl's name something more flamboyant.
So she changes "gray" to "red" (color) , and added
"Gloria" to make it more gorgeous.

( it is from an old book "Puff" published in 1980)

And the fact that she named his ancestor Luminous RED Benedict had nothing to do with it at all, right?

I suppose so.

"The Seven Seas Seven Skies" which is the title Luminous Red Benedict made his first appearance, was written AFTER
Eroica had started.
Luminous was named after Dorian Red Gloria.
