I hope this is appropriate.

After my Zeppelin post, a good friend suggested I see The Song Remains The Same, and ever since I've been foaming at the mouth over Robert Plant and often see him now when reading EroicaFic. ^ ^ So with the help of some screencaps, I did a few sketches. This one actually started as Plant!fanart, but I've exaggerated his ( Read more... )

Bloody. Fucking. Hell.
That is one GORGEOUS piece of art. O_O
I am so in awe of people like you, who can sketch on the computer. It looks beautiful.
I can definitely see the resemblance between him and Dorian...it's as if he had come to life (or closer to it, anyway) off the pages of the comic book...*giggle*

Aww, thanks. :) Really, with a tablet, working on the comp is no more difficult that working on paper. Easier in some ways since it's easier to erase and layer, and best of all there's no looking *down* at a sheet of paper.

That's lovely! I especially love the shading/textures on the face. Lovely work.

Thank you very much! The face definitely came out more Dorian than Robert, I think. :)

gorgeous!

also... i must recommend you pick up recent Led Zep dvd release. it's the one with the sand dunes and the cloud zeppelin on the cover. amazing quality, 1000% better than TSRtS. (TSRtS was mostly taken from Earl's Court in '75, and there were problems with the footage, etc. EC isn't considered the band's finest hour by a long shot.) the dvd is worth it for the beautifully remastered sound, and for Royal Albert Hall.

Thanks!

I've been eyeballing that DVD on Amazon. :) I was wondering how much better it would be, plus it has *so* much more! Thanks for the extra incentive. :)
