Yo Carter!

I just watched the episode 'Monday' of the X-files. Just wanted to give you one whopping thank you for all of that gratuitous shirtless Mulder. 'Twas much appreciated, my good sir! Also, you know, the plot was good and the cinematography and the music and the yadda yadda yadda.

I feel all inspired and shit. I think I've gotta write some X-files ( Read more... )

Ooh, Monday's a good episode. I'm a sucker for that Groundhog Day trope. And gratuitous shirtless Mulder is definitely my favorite Mulder. Will you be posting your XF fic here, if/when you write it? I'd love to read!

I've been rediscovering my long-dormant XF love lately, through the magic of gifs. It's ridiculous, how much I love these two co-dependent, obsessive people together. Just. <3

lol this gif. I can hear Mulder saying "Ouuuch" in my head, although without dialogue this looks like Scully is ~mildly intrigued~.

Haha, that's why I love it. Decontextualized gifs are the best.

I hear you about the Groundhog Day trope. I love that movie, it's so freaking charming.

I think my favorite Mulder (thus far, I haven't watched all the seasons yet) is shamelessly-confident-in-his-beliefs Mulder. I can't even begin to describe how hard it makes me laugh when he goes in front of a court in a prosecution trial and starts talking about aliens, and Scully's just there in the background being like... WTF MULDER YOU'RE KILLING THE CASE.

(Speaking of, shirtless Scully would also be absolutely acceptable.)

They're so ridiculously wonderful and probably incredibly unhealthy together. I think it's kind of great, because when you see an episode you spend the entire time going 'zomg they're soooo sweet together' and then you realize they don't seem to have any other friends or spend any time with anyone else or really do anything but work. Oh, those crazy kids.

Awww hell yes - shirtless Mulder is definitely the best kind of Mulder.

I feel like the only thing I could write X-Files fic on would be like, my mom's old CompuAdd or maybe a spiral notebook. F'real. There are probably a few 3.5" floppys floating around filled with Microsoft Works files titled "Mulder's Sexy Secret" or something as equally ridic.

Yeah right, I probably came up with titles like "SOCIAL STUDIES PROJECT - DO NOT READ." So ~sneaky.

Heh, I recently found the first fanfic I ever wrote, in a folder full of my math homework from grade seven. It was one of those awful Harry Potter 'The Golden Trio discover MSN!!!1!!' type things, it was so bad it was awesome.

SAME. HERE. I'm pretty sure I titled one of my files ONLYHOTELROOM.DOC.

OMG "Only Hotel Room" is my favorite XF fic trope. That along with "Mandatory FBI Ball", "Desk Sex" and "Going Undercover as a Married Couple"--the last one gets points for being canon lol.

I loved that ep! I like how in all of the Mondays he never actually went to that meeting. And how he kept that waterbed from Dreamland I/II lol.

Yesss, write some XF fic ♥ *\o/*

Oh god, Franco was out of it wasn't he? Now that I've seen gifs I can confidently say that he did not give two shits about that hosting gig. Your theory might not be that far off. I heard he also skipped the after-party that was being held in his honor, so he does sound a little bitter!

Oh god, that whole sequence of him waking up, swearing about the water bed, dropping the cellphone, tripping over the shoes; it had me in stitches.

Wow, he skipped the after-party? I hadn't heard that. Honestly, I thought it was kind of hilarious how he just didn't seem to care at all about a job many, many others would have been totally over the moon to have.
