By this point, Kamek figured he'd have better luck interrogating the civilians in this strange place than flying around blindly looking for answers. Lo and behold, there was someone within landing distance on a tall building structure. Some giant rat in a hat.
"You," Kamek said sharply before landing on said building. "What the heck is this place?!" He wanted answers and he wanted them now, dammit.
If Kamek had been himself, he probably would have just ignored this disrespectful little punk and look for someone less completely useless elsewhere. Except this wasn't the case. Kamek was lost, confused, completely stressed out, and the last thing he needed to deal with was some low-life rodent mocking him in front of his face.
With a growl, Kamek whipped out his scepter and pointed it at Daroach, ignoring the rest of the Squeakers. Probably not the most intimidating thing in the world, but it would have to do. "Listen. I am not in the mood for putting up with you idiots. So either tell me where I am RIGHT NOW or I'll make sure you'll have to wear a paper bag for the rest of your life," he threatened through barely grit teeth.
Along came a Kirby, just walking around the city, trying to figure out what to do next. Breaking things was certainly fun, yes... but it would get boring quickly if he did not find something else to do. Then again... he could always break a building...
Here he came, walking near Kamek, with that cross look on his face. He didn't even give the Magikoopa a second glance.
"T-that's right," Naval replied. "Unless it's happenin' again, but both babies with the big ol' plumber caps and Lord Bowser are all grown up now. Any more babies shouldn' get in their way anymore, babe!"
No, Kamek was definitely not okay. He just stood there in disbelief, unable to process what he just heard. It couldn't be true, could it? Then again, why would Naval be making any of this up?
He was quiet for a while, letting the news sink in.
"So I failed in kidnapping those babies, is that it?"
[What was that reddish orange thing in the distance? Was it a bird, or a plane....?
No, it was definitely a bird. A bird carrying some sort of bag in its long beak.
And that was all Kamek needed to know before a wave of determination and unbridled anger hit him, all his attention focused on getting that bird and snatching the bag away from it.
Next thing Kazooie might notice is a blue figure flying towards it at mach speed.]
Kamek swerved and swooped down to Kazooie's level, effectively snatching the bag away from her beak. And once he did, he hastily looked through its contents.]

He flew down to Petey's level, confused about the size of and appearance of this...Pirahna Plant. He didn't remember enlarging any plants besides Naval.]

"...what?" Was all Kamek managed to say. He couldn't have heard that right. "It almost sounded like you said that was forty years ago."
