Do you ever feel that no matter what you do, you can't win. I guess today I just feel a little discouraged because, again, I didn't even get an interview for a job that I am very qualified for. I almost feel like I should just face it and quit trying to get another one right now. I mean, Jay will be graduating in a year so chances are we will be ( Read more... )

Things don't usually go as we plan, and we're not supposed to understand why but we can lean on the fact that God has something special planned for you. He knows your perfect job and for what ever reason, the time for it is not now. Hang in there girlie... maybe there's a deeper reason he's keeping you at your current job. Love and miss you!

molly-
I totally know the feeling. Right now I am at a tutoring job that pays pretty well and gives me 30 hours a week. It pays the bills and I get Fridays off. I hate it though. I should be more thankful that I have this job and don't have to dig ditches for bill money, but I am not. I have been job searching for 2 months now and have had ONE interview and 3 straight up NOT HIRED positions with NO INTERVIEWS!!! It sucks. I totally know the feeling and I get very discouraged all the time. I was crying just yesterday about it... so, when you are feeling down about it, know that you aren't the only one!!

Doesn't it just suck sometimes. I know that we have positive things to look at, its just did we really get a college degree to do the stuff that we are doing. So as bad as it sounds, thanks for not letting me be the only one feeling this way, I know there are more than us, but at least WE HAVE EACH OTHER!

Prayer to St. Joseph, mslaurenrhodes June 5 2006, 23:55:17 UTC
I say this prayer to the patron saint of carpenters/workers: hope it helps:

O glorious Saint Joseph,
faithful follower of Jesus Christ,
to you we raise our hearts and hands
to implore your powerful intercession
in obtaining from the benign heart of Jesus
all the helps and graces necessary
for our spiritual and temporal welfare,
particularly for the grace of a happy death
and the special favor we now request...

(State your request here.)

O guardian of the Word Incarnate,
we feel animated with confidence that your prayers
in our behalf will be graciously heard before the throne of God.

O glorious St. Joseph,
through the love you bear to Jesus Christ
and for the glory of His name,
hear our prayers
and obtain our petitions.

Amen.

Baby girl I am so sorry for you right now. I wish that you felt like you could call and talk to me about it. Molly, it'll work out. Working on MSU's campus is all about who you know. You have to know this person who knows that one and knows another... etc... Something will work out for you after you get away from here. Just hold on for a little bit longer. I'll keep you and everything in my daily prayers.
