Dude. This story is awesome! And so believable IMO. I can seriously see this really happening. And it would answer where all those minor characters disappeared to that knew about the truth lol. I always wondered where Lauren would go with a new born child to take care of that has Terminators after her. With Sarah. Just not the Sarah of her time ( ... )

This was Crazy epic and quiet heart breaking.

I found myself rooting for a youg Derek and Sarah getting together again to raise the baby.

The smut was ... really well written.

I'm also glad that Sarah had a baby boy ... there is just to many pregnancy stories with little girls in this fandom it seems.

You have nailed every story you've have ever written and for that you win at life!

Sorry for replying so long after the fact. I've been hopping through Central America (including Bocas del Toro, actually! I thought of Sarah and Derek...). Net access has been, well, less than great. ;)

Thank you so much for the kind words, and yeah, we do have lots of baby girls, when people have babies at all. (There are fewer babies in this fandom than in X Files - you were tripping over them every second fic there).

I'm working on the follow-up as we speak...

Despite a *bit* of eye-rolling at JD being only 16 when Sarah puts him in charge of the whole camp (that gave me flashbacks of when fans were wanting teenage John to start barking out orders), I really enjoyed this story. It was sweet and lovely and unique and it totally sucked me in. Well done!

I did toy with the idea of Sarah going back to John's real birth in 1984-5 so J.D. would be older, but it didn't work for a couple of reasons. Firstly, she might have been alive in Kyle's time, which kind of made me uncomfortable. I thought it would have been a distraction somehow. And also she might have been getting a bit too old to pull off the reunion thing and the time-jump-after-John thing. I sort of figured, young-Leader-J.D. could work if he had Sarah and Derek behind him. I saw him a bit like the older kids in my son's Army cadet corps - they have rank and they lead, but in a contained situation.
