When I was doing the bedroom of the house I lived in with my ex, we slept on the sofa-bed in the living room for, iirc, about 4 months. And that was a simple "strip wallpaper, minor polyfilla, paint ceiling and woodwork, hang wallpaper" job.

Yeah. Left once we have done the living room is the hallway, the kitchen and the bedroom. We can't afford to do the kitchen, and can't face doing the bedroom, so I guess the choice is made. The bathroom is lovely though!
