Scary Shari, reporting for jury duty!

Jun 10, 2008 08:49

Here I am with my laptop at the Santa Clara County Hall of Justice (HOJ), part of the Santa Clara County Superior Court System, waiting to see if I get assigned to a court room to hear the synopsis of a civil or criminal case in anticipation of perhaps being selected to serve on a jury. I'm in panel 3. A very loooooong announcement finally finished ( Read more... )

That rings a very VAGUE bell.... I think! :) Can you jog my memory with a few more descriptive details and/or quotes from Superfriends? I might be getting it mixed up in my mind with another Saturday morning cartoon from the 1970s or '80s. heh

You're so lucky that they give you wireless access. Our courthouse is so old, I'd be surprised if they had it and if they did, I'd be even more surprised if they actually let people connect!

I guess Santa Clara County is ahead of itself with the free WiFi in the courthouses. ;D Also, the San Jose International Airport offers free WiFi as well. It's not as fast as what the courts offer, but still -- free is free! I must admit I forgot where you live (*blush*) but do you know if whatever airport you use has WiFi? I remember some of my friends were shocked when I said it was free in San Jose, but then I discovered it was free in the Phoenix, Ariz. airport as well! :) I'm such a GEEK! I get very excited when I find free WiFi!!!!

I live in Colorado Springs, CO. (I love it here!) Our airport has free WiFi too. :)

LOL!! Your comment reminds me of the extreeeeeeeemely tedious first (and only) time I played the Clue board game. It was at Jenn and Dan's, and there were several of us playing. I was kind of tired to begin with, but the game was tiring/boring as well, without much amusement or excitement. *yawn* Too much trying to get from square to square/room to room, if I recall.

I'm pretty sure that you were one of the people there at the time. Do you remember playing Clue with "the old gang" at a time that I was playing too? :)

I remember that game. I much preferred the games of Magic. Clue is tedious and I never understood the strategy until I had to practice for the logic tests on the GRE. That's the year they decide to take the logic section out and replace it with writing composition, oh well. How fitting this comes up now.

*sigh* I miss playing Magic more than I can even put into words. :( Although I would of course prefer to play it again with the "old gang", I'd be glad to play it with ANYONE! heh If you know of any people or small groups who wouldn't mind a rusty but eager player, please let me know! :)
