I haven't posted and crossed off a to-do list in a LONG time, so here is one for today. (Not in any particular order). I'm actually quite proud with how it turned out. *blush* After the list is a "photo essay" documenting the very SAD damages incurred here in my townhouse complex, following the massive amounts of rain and wind much of Northern ( Read more... )

Goodness, I am really glad to see that you are okay after that awful storm. What a shame about all those felled trees.

Thanks! :) I'm glad I and everyone I know is okay too! However, I felt sooo depressed when I did my walk about and saw all those injured and/or uprooted trees. :( You know what a tree lover I am! *sigh* Would you believe that with the trees I could easily get to, I actually touched them and said "I'm sorry" ?

Ah ha ha ha HAAA!! :D
You said "calla lillies"!!
I figured someone would call them lillies! The thing is -- they're NOT even in the lily family! *grin* But that's okay. It's a very commonly used misnomer, so I'll let it slide... especially for you. ;D

What a horrible storm, the poor wee trees! Still, I'm glad there wasn't any extensive damage! x

Yep, except unfortunately, some of the trees were not even "wee"! :( It depresses me when ANY tree is injured or uprooted, but it's especially sad when they're big and beautiful and I've gotten to feel like I "know" them. *sigh*

Yikes! You got hit pretty hard! :(

I haven't seen much damage in downtown San Francisco, aside from perhaps a larger-than-usual amount of garbage on the sidewalks.

I was afraid that it would be even worse than it was, though, after all of the warnings from the weather people.

Yeah, all those warnings from the weather people on TV and in the newspaper made me so ANXIOUS in the day or two before the storm system moved in!! :(

I'm glad to hear there wasn't much damage in downtown S.F. -- maybe that's because there are so many buildings that act as windbreaks? Did you happen to see or hear if any trees dropped limbs and/or fell down in Golden Gate Park? I hope not!!
