Oh, this was lovely.
I loved the style, even though now I'm hurting *lip quivers*

You HAVE to write that sequel, hope you can fund the beta...if english was my first language I'd offer, but alas...lol!

Anyway, keep up the great work!

aww, thank you! you have no idea how encouragining this is since this is the first time i'm posting a fic.

and i really wanted to have a happy ending for this story because, well, i love r/s and happy endings, plus i don't want my poor Sirius to remain miserable, haha. i'm a bit burnt out from writing this story in one night, though, so the sequel will have to wait a bit! though i've written a bit of it already...

once again, thank you so much doll! and for taking the time to read and review the story.

p.s. this is my 'everyday life' journal, i'm also scarypants!

You're very welcome! :)
It was the first time posting or the first time writing a R/S fic?
Either way, it is pretty impressive for a first try ;)

Take your time with the sequel, no good comes out of rushing ;)
I'll wait for it excitedly!

Would you mind if I friended you?
If you're ok with it, would it be better friend this journal or scarypants?

sorry for the late reply!! scarypants October 14 2005, 12:11:23 UTC
This was my first time writing an R/S fic, and the first time I'd finished writing any fic ever--I started a few Draco/Ginny ones before, but never completed those. :D

And of course I wouldn't mind if you friended me! This is my fandom journal, but I probably won't be updating it that often, unless I have a fic to post. But my non-fandom journal doesn't have anything fandom-related, so... :D It depends on what you want to read, I suppose!

Is the britspeak too forced?no. Is the punctuation wonky? no. Is the tense change too awkward? I don’t know why I made things difficult for myself by using tense change, bah. no.

it's wonderful. it's beautiful and full of emotion and so sad and you can feel sirius's pain so much.

i loved your sirius. it was like he never knew how to cry, didn't know how to express that feeling. and the way you made him hold in all his thoughts and never say them because he loved remus so much-that was lovely.

aww thank you!! you really are too kind; i'm glad you enjoyed it so much :D

i love sirius so much, but the strange thing is that i identify much more with remus as a character! but somehow it is easier to write from sirius' pov. if i write a follow-up fic to this i will definitely try and include remus' thoughts as well. i don't think he is completely indifferent to sirius! ;)

Read the note. This was amazing please write the sequal. It feels sort of incomplete right now like it is the first chapter of a book.

Yes, I think that the story feels unfinished too! But I was eager to end it because I was kind of sick of the whole thing by then--too much editing! I'll try and start work on the next part soon...

And thank you so much! I'm glad you enjoyed it :D

I'm such a sucker for post-prank fics. So I read them all, the good and the bad, and I'm glad that I read this one. I also love it when Sirius falls for Remus first and Remus is busy off with someone else. All too often it works in the opposite direction, with Sirius having the girl/boyfriend and Remus as the pining one. And it is so nicely done. Sirius's perspective is as sad as it should be, without being too extreme in either direction - not way too apologetic or too insincere.

Nicely done. I would love to see a sequel Happy endings are lovely, but not entirely necessary, as it seems that you have the whole angst concept down...

Yes, I love post-prank fics myself! Because they're usually angsty but come with a sorta-happy ending with Remus finally forgiving Sirius... or not. But I like it more when there's hot sex involved, hee.

And I do enjoy it when Sirius is the one pining for Remus, it seems to me like everyone falls for Sirius without him even trying! (and all too often Remus is automatically the 'bottom' in their relationship. it makes me love a fic even more when Remus is on top, so to speak!) So it's kind of a new experience for him to actually like someone first, and have that someone not like him back. But I suspect that Remus is not completely indifferent to Sirius... ;)

And thank you muchly for your feedback! It's strange, but I much prefer happy endings--when it comes to r/s fic at least--but I can't seem to stay away from the (w)angst when I write it myself. Huh.

Heh I'm glad the story had such a strong reaction from you! And it's strange, but my favourite that have happy endings and aren't too angsty (or if they are, then they'd better have a bloody happy ending to make up for the angsty!) but when I wrote this story I just seemed to gravitate towards it. Oh well.

I will try my best with the sequel! *crosses fingers and hopes laziness doesn't take over self*

P.S.: I'm loving your icon by the way! So true, haha. :D
