Cool review. Sadly, like Sex in the City*, there are also plenty of reviews out there that hate on these movies simply as an extension of the reviewer's existing misogyny - i.e. "It's bad because it's girly," rather than "It's bad because it's BAAAAAAAAAAD."

*I comb through bad reviews for phenomena that I don't get. They comfort me in the stuffy, dark solitude of my Twilight-and-Carrie-hating world.

IDEK XTINE!!

Several people have insisted this to me. And they do so with a tone that suggests that all the problems are solved and I will totally be into this series now since that was obviously my only problem with it. (p.s. IT ISN'T.)

IJS, no one movie, especially not one based on those books, will be enough to fix all the problems with Twilight. Like how the characters aren't characters, but empty, role-filling character types. Or the whole emotional/mental/physical/sexual abuse of Bella by Edward bit. Or how Bella is manipulative of her friends and family but doesn't exist outside of Edward.

THERE IS A LOT OF SHIT WRONG HERE, OK. I don't even KNOW how people are telling you that. THE MIND. IT BOGGLES.
