sweet. merciful. crap.

I don't think I have words to describe the kind of ethereal, haunting, bitter agony this is. Yay! There's ... such a richness of subtlety between the dreaming and the waking, it's gorgeous, and deeply, profoundly disturbing. I think this is going to be in my dreams.

would you be at all offended if I said I think I have an incredibly perfect song for this?

okay I'm a dumbass and didn't even see the link to the song at the top. I sorry. *facedesk*

Thank you. I'm very glad the dreamlike quality worked. Sometimes I have dreams that fog around me all the next day, no matter what happens or what I do to get rid of them, and I was trying to capture that feeling.

would you be at all offended if I said I think I have an incredibly perfect song for this?

Absolutely not! I'm insanely gleeful about all kinds of music, and I'd love to know what song you thought of in connection with this. (and don't worry about initially missing the link.)

You definitely succeeding in capturing that fuzzy, surreal-dream quality.

As for the song, it was The Samples' Anymore. (yousendit link). :)

Wow. That left me pretty much breathless and speachless.

It's painful and hot all at the same time.

Mac waits to wake up and doesn’t.

*whimpers* I think you broke me. That was ... extraordinary. Haunting and painful, the dreams bled into reality so well.

Objectively, Mac knows it is just everyday details twisting in his subconscious and not his dreams bleeding over into his waking life.

And then the order changes ...

I can't think of anything more coherent to say at this point. I've slept about 6 hours in the last 48. I've hit the floaty stage of exhaustion, I really need sleep but now ... this was deeply unnerving.

Incredible.

the dreams bled into reality so well.

Thank you. I was really concerned about getting the balance right there.

And, oh, I'm sorry you were sleep deprived, I know that feeling very well... which is probably why I like writing sleepless Mac so much. ;)

Damn. It was so deceptively simple but full of emotions that just tear at you. I love seeing into Mac's fucked up head and you did a wonderful job while there. And I have to admit, I love your reason for Mac and Peyton, she's just a distraction. *grin*

Thank you. Mac has a lot that haunts him, and I think Peyton offers him something more comforting than being alone but still safe.

There was a sense of deja vu in here. Just when you think what Mac is experiencing, it turns out to be a dream.

I loved this.

Thank you. :) I was hoping to hit that ambiguity without having it be either heavy handed or confusing.
