Meteorologists say it's going to be a wild winter in the Pacific Northwest this year. Oh joy. On the other hand, it might be the perfect excuse for me to buy a new winter coat. 11:30-2:00 at Magnusson Park is the Harvest Celebration, which doesn't have a Corn Maze but has a little petting zoo, Cider Press, Scarecrow making, and Caspar Babypants whom you may remember as the lead singer of the Presidents of the United States of America.

As for coats, might I suggest you check out second hand stores. Goodwill etc just requires that you get lucky, but some consignment shops have some pretty fancy duds at affordable prices.

I second this recommendation for resale shops. Value Village is another surprisingly good source if you get lucky. One of my friends has had a lot of luck shopping at the Bellevue Value Village.

On the coat topic, I'd be up for a field trip to the Redmond Goodwill and Value Village. I've heard they're both great for clothes. I'd even be willing to drive.
