Random notes for a Saturday morning

I ought to have had some protein with breakfast. As it is, breakfast was merely a hunk of holiday challah--not especially healthy but, oh, so tasty.

The New York Post is now following me on Twitter. I feel a compulsion to be extra topical and witty.

The game store is still there, just a bit to the south side of the parking lot (west of the theater). Presume the rent is cheaper at the new storefront.

And that's the one place I didn't go looking for it. ::sigh:: Will have to make another trip next time I'm on the Eastside.

Gamestore: moved across the dirt - they now face the theatre in the smaller (completely un-noticable) strip of stores on the other side of the theatre PL.

For the rest of it (jones) - yea. What you said.

I'm appalled at the fact that one stupid bigot could tie up so much media attention. Sure, what he was going to do was offensive, but there are certainly a lot of more important news stories that got shortchanged because of this one.

I had read that the President had been kind of wishy-washy on the so-called Ground Zero mosque, but he sure nailed it in that press conference clip. I read in the Youtube comments that it was a Fox reporter who put the question to him; I bet he was disappointed that Obama answered it so well.

Yeah. If you watch the clip, there's a subtitle that says the reporter's from Fox--and I thought the same thing: poor bastard thought he could catch the President out and got a lecture on the Constitution and civics instead. And what I love is that all these Tea Party types will probably grumble at the President hewing to the Constitution as it's written, rather as they see it. That's what happens when you have a Constitutional scholar for a President.
