Vincent had kept the potion as long as he could barely, the sleeping draught was kept in the box under his floorboard, when Friday evening came, he waited aslong as he could before pouring the vial's contents into his uncles tea.
It was miraculous how much effect ir already had and then left the house, to catch the knight bus and to meet Scarlette at the Leaky Cauldron.
Vincent studied her a second, then smiled, "I hate being able to understand things, I like to know what's black and what's white if you understand my metaphor. If I don't understand something, like a person, or my own feelings, I push myself to understand it."
Scarlette mulled this over in her head for a little while, silent as she did so. "That's pretty interesting," she finally said with a light laugh.
She decided to lighten the conversation up a bit. "Once, when I was really mad at my brother, I dropped his toothbrush in the toliet on purpose. I never told him about that...."
Vincent smiled, and noticed soon they were close to their destination, as though they were laying, he was notcing Scarlette getting more nervous, despite the happiness on their couples faces.
She sighed softly, embarrassed to even consider to say what she wanted to tell him. Scarlette stared down at her shoes and took in a deep breath, her heart racing.
"I've never actually been with a boy who cared about me - at all," she started quietly. "When I was with someone, it was just for the moment and to have a little fun. But for me, it was always...well, not what I expected. No one's ever -- I mean that no boy has ever..."
She trailed off, her embarrassment overpowering everything else.
Scarlette was stunned into silence by his words and she almost stopped walking. Instead, she blinked down at her shoes for a few more seconds before forcing her gaze up towards Vincent.
"I....I don't really know what to say to that," she whispered in response. Scarlette could see the house now and her heart continued to race in her chest.
"To be honest, neither would I..." his fingers which had been entwining hers stroked her palm with his thumb. "But you do something to me that no one else has managed to do. Family or anything else...I don't feel like a tool, and I don't feel used when I'm with you..."
He smiled, "I feel part of you...as though we're sharing every thought, life, breathe, in unison. Ofcourse, the fact that I haven't even been with you just makes it feel even more true, that my brain is describing what I feel in my heart, withotut not even having to share souls..."
She simply stared at him, not knowing what else to do. Scarlette opened her mouth to speak, but nothing came out. Feeling a bit like a fool, she squeezed Vincent's hand to assure him.
"No one's ever...wow, Vincent," she said breathlessly. His words had been awfully deep and more than she'd ever expected to hear from anyone. It almost frigthened her, to hear him say that. But wasn't it something she craved? For someone to want her that much?
"No, I just -- wow. I mean, that's a pretty amazing thing to say," Scarlette replied with a light laugh. She leaned over to give him a quick kiss on the cheek.
Pointing down at one of the houses, she felt her stomach attempt to flip over. "That's the house, right there."
It was moments later that they reached the front of the house, and they were stepping inside, and he was being lead in, Vincent's heart was in his throat from nerves.
"So..." he murmured, feeling awful. "...what now..."

"I swear, if I had been you're brother and found out I'd of chase and tickled you round the house in revenge!"

She chuckled softly, her eyes shining with happiness by the dim lights that lined the streets they walked down.

"has ever--" she trailed off, and he added, "love you"
His eyes softened dramatically, and his hair hide most of his facial expression as he walked his head a little down, hiding an embarrased smile.
"One could say, that is not true anymore, that no boy has loved you that it..." he murmured.
