Wow. That was uncomfortable reading in places, but a very realistic treatment. Totally felt I was with Rorschach every step of the way. I love how understated this is too; how you've not gone over the top with the angst, makes it that bit more powerful in my eyes. Very good indeed.

My first reaction to this was really stupid: "That's not dark, that's just them!" Then I was like...oh, right. So I think you hit the mark exactly. And the whole thing was very very immersive.

I'm consoling myself with the thought that Rorschach will probably be back again in a couple days to show he still cares, by raiding Dan's fridge or breaking his stuff or something.

ahhhh oh, my god. I'm really not sure what's worse, watching Rorschach degenerate into his panic attack or watching Dan try to understand it. The detached writing next to the way this spirals makes it hit harder, somehow. This hurts a good hurt; great job. I love how understated it is.

Thank you. :) When I saw the prompt, I wanted to try being subtle with it. Flashbacks are almost always portrayed as visual things where a person vividly relives an event as if it's really happening, so I decided to go against the grain, because not all flashbacks are like that.
