god, how did I miss this. brilliant. This line:

made me want to cry. Oh, Rorschach.

Can there be more of this? I feel like there's a dynamic here that's worth exploring -- I like the tiny hint I see here of your Danielle, and there's not enough good Danielle out there.

...Shit, now I have to write more. The more I think about the pairing, the more it intrigues me. (She's a sweet-natured, inhibited nerd who enjoys beating the shit out of people! He's a violent gynophobe with an Oedipus complex. Together, they fight crime have clumsy, complicated sex.) Thank you!

This is delightfully creepy. Dear lord is Rorschach screwed up. I really like how, in the last few paragraphs, you manage to portray how his very crisp and orderly way of thinking -- itself a veneer over all the seething repressed scary -- is completely unable to make sense of what he just experienced.

Came here by way of a complicated route that began at metafandom and happened on this. Great story.

Yes! That's exactly what I thought.

I'm screwing around with a Rorschach/Danielle fic. So far, I've got Danielle wanting Rorschach to be all, 'rarrr I am going to pin you down and fuck you silly' when, really, he's deeply uneasy about acting like that because he's not great at drawing boundaries and he doesn't want to be One of Those Bad Men. Somehow they end up having sex anyway.

And oh my god Danielle's weird sex dreams are totally worth writing about as well. They should include Hollis for added creepy. Young!Hollis was hot. Old!Hollis is like her surrogate father. That could get awkward.
