Ha, I like how you kept Sally in character and made her very blunt and disapproving of Laurie. Awesome story! :)

Thanks.

Sally always struck me as nothing if not blunt. I bet she made Nelson blush on a regular basis.

I like this! I don't see much Laurie-centric fanfic, or any of her having any sort of bonding moments with her mother. Very good job. (And I think you wrote Sally very true-to-form with her reaction to Jon.)

Thank you. (And yeah, Laurie and Sally rarely seem to get written together, now you mention it. Weird.)

I like this :) Not only does it have the awesome ladies of Watchmen, it has snappy dialogue and in-characterness and nice mother-daughter tension/bonding.

She doesn't have to ask what her mother thinks of Jon. She knows that she will tell her anyway. Laurie waits.

Thanks! Sally is based on, like, every mother, everywhere.

Aw, more Laurie fic! This was awesome!

"Please, call me Sally." Sally Jupiter leans forward slightly to touch Jon's arm, and the flirtatious gesture makes Laurie's toes curl in horror.

*laughs* Good god, Sally! I love that she seriously only has the one way to relate to men, and that is to flirt with them. Even the big blue ones.

"Kids today and their glowing blue boyfriends..."

Aww, Sally. Just a bit of teenage rebellion going on.

Anyway, this was so wonderfully awkward and true to all three of them.

Thank you. :)

And hey, if flirting with men works, then Sally the sort of gal who's going to change a winning forumla. (Even when she's 65 and the man in question is her daughter's husband. Damn, Sally.)

Well, Sally at 65 is pretty darn foxy ;) But I'm sure everyone finds it charming. Except, of course, for Laurie.

Poor Laurie. YOUR PARENTS ARE NOT ALLOWED TO BE FOXY. EVER.

AND THEY'RE SURE AS HELL NOT ALLOWED TO SHOW YOU EXPLICIT PRONO COMICS STARRING THEMSELVES.

Wouldn't hurt you to smile more, either."

Laurie scowls, on principle.
= The most perfect summary of their relationship ever. I really loved this.

Glad you liked.

I imagine that Laurie got told to smile for the cameras on a regular basis, so she made a point of having an expression like a bulldog chewing a sour turd.
