Summary: Jin Akanishi and Kazuya Kamenashi have been best of friends since Grade School. Years later, Jin got married and had an only child with his wife. His wife suddenly died when their son was 4 years old due to a certain sickness. When Jin and Kazuya incidentally met, Jin’s son thought of Kazuya as his real mother! Seeing that Jin’s son was still convinced, Jin and Kazuya had a deal: Kazuya would not only be Jin’s son’s mother, but would be Jin’s wife as well. Will this one-sided relationship turn the other way around?
-
After Kazuya wrote them down, Jin stared wide-eyed in shock.
“What are these?! Are you crazy?”
Kazuya blinked and smirked. “What about them?”
Jin growled. “…No. 2, he can go anywhere he pleases when the child is not present.” Sigh. “What? I’m only doing this as only the kid’s mother, right?” Kazuya answered, seemingly confused.
“You were supposed to do this as Yuki’s mother and as my wife,” Jin cleared.
Kazuya nodded. “Yeah, that’s why I have #3 here: he would have his own room for privacy,” He declared.
This is gonna be harder than I thought.
Kazuya Kamenashi’s Conditions list:
1. Kazuya Kamenashi would still work as a photographer in Osaka.
2. He can go anywhere he pleases when the child is not present.
3. He would have his own room for privacy.
4. He can invite over whoever he wants.
5. He can still date.
Sigh.
“Kame, what’s wrong with you?” Jin asked. “Hmm?” Kazuya peeked in as Jin pointed everything.
“You can’t be in Osaka! Do you know how far it is?” Jin started.
“But where would I work-“
“The kid’s only 5 years old and still in kindergarten! His school only lasts for half a day so where are you going to go?”
“I could go visit my family-“
“If we want to be convincing that you’re my wife, we need to act like a couple and sharing our room is very important,”
“No! You always hog the whole bed and I always end up sleeping on the floor or couch-“
“Do you think this is a hotel? This is my house for Pete’s sake! And besides, it would make a great ruckus if you start a party here informally,”
“But you always loved parties before at my apartment-“
“…and again, you’re still going to act as my wife and it’ll be a great scandal if you go around dating with you carrying my name with a great reputation. Oh and if you’re going to date, I have the right to know who and where it is.” Jin ended.
Kazuya frowned at everything he said. “You never listened to what I said and you’re the one who never understood what these all meant,”
“Huh?” Jin asked, this time, he was the one confused.
“You’re saying about a scandal if I went around dating. Jin, are you even listening to yourself? Do you know what might cause a greater scandal? People finding about us pretending to be together! Everybody knows what happened to your real wife so what are we going to say to them? And then here you go just pick me up and tell me to be your wife?!” Kazuya said aghast. “Did you ever once think how hard it would be for me? I risk myself going through all these upcoming charades without even knowing what to say to my family or even to the public after all these happen!”
“Then why did you agree to this in the first place?! Don’t talk as if you already know everything!” Jin growled.
“As if I had a choice, Akanishi Jin! Do you think I wanted this to happen or I wanted myself to be in this position?! You should even consider yourself lucky because the person your kid dragged along the park was someone you knew. I’d think you’d be even in a harder situation if it was only a random woman or wait-“ Kazuya stopped to pause to think.
Jin just glared at him and waited for him to end what he’s saying.
“You know what, I think it would even been better if it was some random woman being the playboy you really are!”
Jin has had enough. Kazuya, on the other hand, won’t really care what would happen next after that. Whether Yuki would barge in again or something, it wouldn’t matter to him. He glared at Jin who was actually looking at him with a shocked face. Jin, however, wasn’t shock because of the speech that Kazuya gave but because he saw a tear slowly slide down the other’s pale skin.
Kazuya felt this and wiped his face with his own hand.
“Kazuya, I…” Jin walked closer to Kazuya but was interrupted by a sudden ring from the other’s jeans pocket. The latter calmed himself first totally not expecting that sudden call which, he thinks actually saved his life for a bit. “Hello? Kazuya here,” He answered.
“Hey, it’s Ueda,” the other line called.
“Tat-chan,” Kazuya whispered. “What’s wrong? Are you okay?” He asked and went to sit on the couch and completely ignoring Jin.
“Hmph, Ryo’s just being stupid. I’m sorry if I interrupted anything,” Ueda apologized.
Kazuya shook his head lightly. “No, it’s okay. You weren’t interrupting anything because nothing made sense.” He frowned when he heard a chuckle on the other line. “What’s so funny?”
Jin, however, was just trying to listen in in the conversation but failed seeing the look on his guest’s face.
“Well, it seems that you and Jin are getting along pretty well. Don’t tell me you’re arguing like a married couple again as always?” Kazuya was about to retort something to that until the other spoke again. “No wait, you are going to be a married couple,” Ueda laughed.
“Okay, what has Ryo done to you and you are acting all freaky and laughy?” Kazuya raised a brow, not wanting anymore of this.
“Tch. That man seemed to agree to that little kid that I looked like a women and called me Auntie,” Ueda pouted and this time, it’s Kazuya’s turn to laugh. “Then there’s no need for me to be surprised if you’re the one who Yuki pulled to be his mother. That’d be outrageous!” He laughed.
Jin heard this and cringed.
What?
Me and Ueda?
No thank you!
“As if Jin would even agree to that; he already has someone he likes, doofus! Or I don’t know if he still likes that person, ‘cause all I know is that he liked that person since I dunno…since they were young?” Ueda explained and Kazuya’s eyes widened at that. “Really?” Kazuya asked and looked over at Jin who seemed clueless.
“Hey! That’s not fair! How come you know about it? I was his best friend!” Kazuya played along which made Ueda laugh louder. “I just heard it from Ryo, Kame-chan. You ask him yourself seeing that it is quite unfair on your side,” Kazuya could feel the other grinning and he still has no clue whosoever it is.
“But Tat-chaaaaan…” Kazuya heard Ryo whining from the other side. He smiled at this and said, “Oh Tat-chan, it seems that your lover is starting to get all whiney and jealous. Hang up before I find myself and Ryo on the boxing ring,” He joked.
“Tch. He will never get some tonight,” Ueda said but Kazuya knows how much of a lie that was. “But before that, how are you and Jin doing?” He asked. Kazuya sighed. “Nothing,” Ueda laughed at this. “Don’t worry, you’ll get used to it Kame-chan. Anyway, I’ll hang up now. Ryo’s clinging to me like crazy!” He said and Kazuya nodded. “Have fun,” “I wish,” And both guys hung up after that.
Jin looked at the list again and sighed. Kazuya was still frowning at him then.
“You know, the sensible ones that you’ve been looking for are at the back of that paper,” Kazuya whispered and turned away. “Eh?” Jin blinked and turned the little piece of paper and indeed, the ones that he was looking for that made quite sense were there.
Kazuya Kamenashi’s REAL Conditions List:
1. Never spread the word about this act to anyone else except to the closest friends of both Jin and Kazuya.
2. No barging in each other’s private lives until one decides to open up to what he wants and thinks.
3. For the times that are needed to really “act” as a couple, it is a great no-no for Jin and Kazuya to be intimately doing stuff to each other like kissing, cuddling, etc. unless the situation really demands it.
4. The profession of Kazuya as a photographer would still remain for the financial condition needed by his own independent life.
5. Once the child finally realizes the real truth and accepts it, the deal would be off and Kazuya would finally leave.
6. No one should have feelings for each oth
6. Intimacy will never be tolerated no matter how far both parties have undergone before in the past during High School years.
7. The act would only be in favor of the child and will only be implemented during the child’s presence.
8. The responsibility of being a mother will be given priority rather than the responsibility of being a wife.
9. No dressing up as a female unless it is VERY necessary.
10. In regards to sharing a common room and unfortunately perhaps bed, still no physical contact will emerge as to not give out ideas.
Jin was impressed.
The list did make sense but he wasn’t going to voice that out. No way will he acknowledge the other’s wisdom; although it has been shown to him many times before.
Wait.
So the list before was…fake?
…
And so were Kazuya’s cries? Damnit!
Kazuya smirked, somehow reading Jin’s expression. “Well? What do you say? Or was it my wisdom that rendered you speechless?”
Still arrogant. Sigh.
“Fine, I’m impressed. But strike #4 out, I’ll pay you.” Jin said.
“Eh? No way! I-“ Kazuya try to decline but the look on Jin’s serious face cut him off. “Fine…”
“And I never knew you had something on the back of this! But I have a question…” Kazuya perked up at this. “Why is the first #6 strike out? The one that says no one should have feelings for each oth…er?” Kazuya slightly blushed at this and yelled, “That was just…I mean…Just ignore it. Like it’s possible that we’re going to have feelings for each other,”
Jin nodded at this and grinned. “Yeah, you’re too selfish to even think about others, idiot.” He joked and laughed.
“Well, then probably you’re still having that crush on your puppy love before that was quite unfair for my side,” Jin’s eyes widened at this and asked, “What? How did you know about that?” Kazuya then answered, “Tat-chan told me on the phone awhile ago. He was first scolding me about me fighting with you again and then he told me about it. He was also somehow surprised that you didn’t tell me about it though,”
“Oh, does he know who it is?” Jin asked, and thanked God that Kazuya shook his head. “He said he might have an idea but he just heard about it so he still wasn’t sure if it was true. Seeing as how you reacted, it’s confirmed that you did have someone you liked except for your wife,” Kazuya chuckled.
At the sound of the word ‘wife’ coming out from Kazuya’s lips, Jin just looked away and ignored it. Kazuya stopped laughing once he noticed this and said, “I’m sorry I mentioned her,” but Jin just shook his head at this and reassured him. Honestly though, he wasn’t that much worried about his wife because of the secret arranged marriage but he still quite sympathized with the way she died. Truth be told, his wife was nice and caring and loving to both of them especially to Yuki that’s why the latter was attached to her so much than to Jin.
Jin doesn’t blame his son at the least. He was always busy with work and taking over the family business that sometimes he can’t just spend time with Yuki anymore. But when his wife died, things changed. He learned to deal with Yuki and tried to satisfy his needs, and sometimes wants, just for him to get over or accept the death of his mother. He doesn’t know whether he was lucky or unlucky when Kazuya was suddenly dragged down into their life but either way, Jin thinks it was both.
He was lucky because it was Kazuya, his former best friend, which makes it easier for him to deal with the situation.
He was unlucky because when the time comes, he won’t know what he will say to everybody when the situation demands it. His somehow broken relationship with Kazuya might break into something deeper than he expected or unexpected. Not only that, he would have to will his self to not fall again to the younger man and he’d better try hard because in the past, being with him even just at school made him fall for him, what else to have him for everyday in his life?
Jin groaned at this.
No wait.
I’m never going to fall in love again.
That was just a passing thing.
And we were young! Things change now. Nothing bad would happen.
…I hope.
“Jin?” Kazuya called which made the other break out of his thoughts. “Are you okay?” Jin nodded at this.
“So, to whom did Ueda hear this stuff about me?” Jin asked curious.
“He said it was from Ryo,” at the sound of Ryo’s name, Jin twitched.
That fiend.
Kazuya grinned. “So…are you going to tell me who it was?” Jin stared at him. “What for?” He asked. Kazuya shrugged. “I was your best friend! That seems fair,” He explained.
“How would it be fair? Besides, you never tell me about anything or anyone you liked!” Jin pointedly accused. “Pfft. As if I had anyone to have a crush on. You were always with me and you told me that you’ll never leave me out of your sight. Tell me Jin, how am I supposed to even have someone to like when I’m attached to you?” Kazuya accused back.
“But you never complained about that before! And I always thought you enjoyed my company better than those guy freaks who were always gawking you whenever they had the chance,” Jin pouted and Kazuya laughed.
“Jealous much?” the latter grinned and Jin flushed. “Idiot! You wish!” Jin denied knowing how much of a lie it was but Kazuya just laughed louder.
“Anyway, we’re getting off track. How’s the list?” Jin thanked the heavens again for finally bringing the past topic off. He was going to get crazy if he suddenly blurts out his feelings for the other before.
Tease as always.
Jin ran over the list again and smirked.
Payback time for teasing.
“Hmm. For #3...” Jin started and walked towards the other. “…what kind of…” He walked closer making the other walk back and this was so until Kazuya’s back was pressed again the wall. “…situations are you implying?” Jin smirked as he saw how Kazuya was flushed in front of him and to make the situation hotter, Jin pressed his palms against the wall beside Kazuya’s head and leaned closer.
“B-Baka!” Kazuya stuttered as he pushed against the other.
Luck was still at his side when a quick knock from the door was heard. “Mommy! Daddy!” Jin laughed as he was familiar with the little voice that could only belong to one person. He let Kazuya push him out of his way as the latter slapped him on the arm which made Jin laugh louder.
“You’re really crazy,” Kazuya muttered as he opened the door revealing Yuki. “Mommy!” Yuki jumped into his arms in glee. “Are you and Daddy not fighting anymore?” He questioned as Kazuya walked them inside the master bedroom.
“No dear,” Kazuya smiled.
Let the act as a mother begin.
“Then, why is your face all red? Are you feeling okay?” Yuki pointed out which just made Jin chuckle again. “N-No, I’m fine.”
Stupid Jin. How dare he humiliate me in front of his child!
“AH! I remember why I called you. There’s someone at the door and he was looking for Daddy,” Yuki said and looked over to his father who just stared.
Who could that be?
“Hm. Shall we go look?” Jin asked and Yuki nodded happily. He was then placed down by Kazuya but Yuki held his hand and used the other hand to hold his father’s hand as he dragged them both to meet their surprise guest.
-
“Jin-chaaan~ Good morning! And…Kazuya? You’re here?”
The said names stared in surprise as they weren’t really expecting that a guest would come.

Author’s Notes:
Mou. I hate this chapter soo much! DDx ‘Cause I had to rewrite and edit this many times and in the end, it still didn’t end with the way I wanted and expected. Yeah, I hate it. Hate it. Hate it. But at the same time, I love it. Hahaha. Okay, ignore me. :))
Oh and for the Jinda fans who’re reading this, I’m sorry for the part where Jin was really wincing at the thought of him and Ueda being together. Really sorry!
I told you the list was so pathetic. x( It made no sense at all! *wails* Oh and have you guessed the surprise guest yet? :3 Hint: He’s both close to Jin and Kazuya. So I guess that wraps things up!
No wait, I’m also sorry for the late update ‘cause I was grounded from the internet but not from the computer. That was so weird but it seemed that they knew when I was going to use the internet or not. Stupid technology. x( Oh and besides that, my computer got busted for a few days but I’m really happy that he’s fixed!! *hugs computer* ^^
