An An-An photoshoot comparison picpspam - in other words NAKEDNESS!
So, as we all know the Johnnys (ok let's make it KAT-TUN) fandom's been sent into a tailspin recently over Jin's 'naked/sex/body/porn/insert word here' An-An pics. Which is what happened when the Yamapi An-An pics came out last year. Which is also what happened when the Jun An-An pics came out the year before that. See a trend going on here?
Strange thing though here is, as well as seeing Jin get to 'grips' with his model we've got Osamu Mukai doing a similar shoot. While there was quite a buzz about it, it didn't extend to that of Jin's. Again, in 2008 Anna Tsuchiya also did a sex based photo shoot for An-An. No male model was used but it did involve Anna wearing lace, leather and lethal red lipstick. How come there were no multiple 'OMG!' posts about it - due to the fact she's a woman? Or because it wasn't a Johnny? And going back before that, 2007. Well known pitcher (and half Iranian dude who married that squeaky sounding Saeko) Darvish Yu ALSO did a sex based An-An photo shoot. There was no model involved here either but the focus here i believe was his sports honed body.
ANNNNND, if we want to go back further than that let's talk about Hiroki Narimiya (2005), Yonekura Ryoko (2004). Okada Junichi (2003), Shingo (2007/1999) and of course, Kimura's infamous shoot which (possibly) started it off in 1998. I say possibly because i haven't actually seen EVERY SINGLE An-An cover known to man which involved sex. Having said that, i've seen quite a few of them all say thanks to Google Images and they used either foreign models (HEY COUNTRY THAT LIKES AV, GRAVURE AND 12 YEAR OLD BIKINI PHOTOBOOKS, WHAT'S WRONG WITH JAPANESE MODELS?!) or cartoons. Seriously. Look it up, i dare you!
Going back to Kimura. Having looked around for his photoshoot and finding more and more pictures it slowly began to hit me. I'd seen these pictures before. Or should i say, i'd seen these pictures before recently. That's right. A lot of the stuff we see in Kimura's shoot is repeated in Jin's. And now before you start to bash me for being some sort of insane Kimura fangirl (I AM AND I'M NOT ASHAMED LOL), let me point out what i mean. With the use of pictures.
First things first. Let's start off with the basics. They both have the longish haired boho semi-beard thing going on. Kimura has the added bonus of dodgy 'tache but it's the same thing. Facial hair. Also, the style of the pictures are similar in that they're a lot more rougher than the other shoots mentioned. That could possibly be due to colours in the shoots (Kimura's is in black and white and Jin's has a muted tone to it in comparision to Jun/Pi/Osamu/Nari's light filled shoots). Another aspect to both photo shoots is how Kimura and Jin seem to interact with the models. We see smiling and a closer looking bond and the 'kissing' is more natural. Trust me, take a closer look at Pi's pictures where he's 'kissing' the model? Mouth closed.
But's let get down to the nitty gritty. I hate to say it but quite a few of the Jin shots are pretty much exactly the same as Kimura's in terms of content. You want Jin/Kimura laughing with the model?

The remaining photos are slightly different in that with Jin they focus on him (and tongues) whereas Kimura's are... well. He puts his hands in different places shall we say?
I've also included the photoshoots for the other i've mentioned which i've sort of broken up into parts. First we've got Jun, Pi, Osamu, Nari and Okada who all have the hot body + random foreign lady type shoot which is similar to what Jin and Kimura have done. Note the differences in colour, mood, everything? In itself, Nari and Okada are again different in their focus more on the body and less on the woman.

Then you've got the photoshoots that just focus on the body - Shingo, Darvish and Hiroyuki Ikeuchi (You've seen this guy in plenty of things - Katagoshi no Koibito, Ganbatte Ikimasshoi, Smile, Tatta Hitotsu no Koi). Shingo's just a plain exhibitionist so him stripping off is no surprise. What i like is that we see his changes in weight in the different shoots though. He's not perfect.

And to end the best for last, the ladies. Now, i don't know about anyone else but i kind of prefer the women's shoots over the men's. Why? Is it because i hate the idea of seeing my favourite actor being skin to skin with some bitch ass skinny model? No. It's because the girl's pictures are just so much more... natural. And sexier. See?

So what was my main reason for doing this post? Well, i guess it was to show thos people who were a little shocked at Jin's photoshoot to realise that this type of photoshoot IS something that's done maybe once or twice a year and DOES involve Johnnys AND nakedness in some shape or form. And from what i've read, the reasoning behind it is simple. The SEX issues talk about sex frankly and sometimes with graphic (and occasionally DVD) content. An-An is trying to do its bit to get Japanese people having sex and babies and this is their way of doing it. Considering how shirty Johnnys is about the guys dating i think them letting Jin etc do this is a good thing. 'Cos let's face it. The idea that Jin etc aren't getting any is pretty ridiculous and we all know it.
Basically, Jin isn't the first to do this and he certainly won't be the last. I'm guessing horrifyingly they're going down the groups which means we should be hitting KJ8 or HSJ (PLEASE THE FORMER PLEASE THE FORMER) soon. I'm still gonna hope they decide to go backwards and get Nagase or Takki to do it - please please please please please! Who knows? Mayb we'll get Haruma, Shun, Ichi doing a shoot? Anything is possible.
And to end, a poll. Pick wisely, not in the case of 'SO-AND-SO IS MY FAVE SO I WILL PICK HIM!'. Be objective. Ok, so you can pick your fave if you find him the sexiest... EDIT: Jin's winning. Which is what i expected but to actually see it happen... And also? If Pi beats Kimura then i will... shake my head at the world and wonder why it is such a scary place.
