So, CSI: NY is officially canceled, and from what I understand Body Of Proof will finish this season and then not be coming back. These announcements make me sad, though not as sad about CSI: NY because we got a lovely series finale. But there is no way Body Of Proof can wrap up all their storylines neatly in just a few episodes will we're all ( Read more... )

Awwww... I was kinda hoping CSI:NY would get one more season, just to see a certain character get married... but yeah, it did go out with a great episode, and I suppose the fans should be grateful for the past few seasons, given it has been on borrowed time for a while.

Cartoon series, one-off shows, documentaries and short series shows aside, I think that I'm now down to my last show - Warehouse 13 - which could be over after this season ends too. The only shows I got into since Stargate Atlantis ended all stalled and were cancelled in their opening seasons, so I've been dropping shows but not picking up anything to replace them with.

Yeah. I'd really wanted to see him get married as well, and I'm sad it's not going to happen. But if I can rewatch last season and watch the season before, I may go back to writing CSI: NY fic. It's one of the fandoms I want to go back and write more fic for (the other being Bleach ( ... )

My first thought was that the lack of renewal should create a lot of fic to continue the show - especially that relationship. I remember when JAG ended - there was heaps of fiction to continue that after the finale.

I also hadn't watched Warehouse 13 since season two - I recently mainlined seasons one through three, plus the available episodes from season four. I hadn't heard about the cancellation until you posted this. Colour me completely unsurprised though, given it is SyFy we're dealing with. Just another show on their network that didn't get past a fifth season with them. (Whilst Stargate SG-1 closed with a tenth season, that was its fifth season for SyFy - the first five seasons were for Showtime.) And I'm not holding my breath that W13 will actually get those six episodes. They said the same with Eureka and it never happened.

Given the rate at which shows get cancelled these days, I've stopped watching pilot episodes and wait for a show to become more established. I was actually enjoying Terra Nova but then found out ( ... )

I'm hoping so. I know on AO3 my CSI: NY fic averages about 40 to 100 or so hits, so I'm hoping my totals go up now that the show is over. I do have one CSI: NY fic that has nearly 1.5K hits, and I'm shocked by that. I don't think my other ones will ever have that many hits, but I can hope. In fact, I just got a kudo this morning for a CSI/CSI: NY crossover story I wrote years ago and posted a few months back. I'm going to add more of my other series later, I think, and see what response I get ( ... )
