So, CSI: NY is officially canceled, and from what I understand Body Of Proof will finish this season and then not be coming back. These announcements make me sad, though not as sad about CSI: NY because we got a lovely series finale. But there is no way Body Of Proof can wrap up all their storylines neatly in just a few episodes will we're all

Cartoon series, one-off shows, documentaries and short series shows aside, I think that I'm now down to my last show - Warehouse 13 - which could be over after this season ends too. The only shows I got into since Stargate Atlantis ended all stalled and were cancelled in their opening seasons, so I've been dropping shows but not picking up anything to replace them with.

I also hadn't watched Warehouse 13 since season two - I recently mainlined seasons one through three, plus the available episodes from season four. I hadn't heard about the cancellation until you posted this. Colour me completely unsurprised though, given it is SyFy we're dealing with. Just another show on their network that didn't get past a fifth season with them. (Whilst Stargate SG-1 closed with a tenth season, that was its fifth season for SyFy - the first five seasons were for Showtime.) And I'm not holding my breath that W13 will actually get those six episodes. They said the same with Eureka and it never happened.
Given the rate at which shows get cancelled these days, I've stopped watching pilot episodes and wait for a show to become more established. I was actually enjoying Terra Nova but then found out ( ... )
