I've been watching and reading about the current health care reform debate going on in the US with something akin to stupified amazement.

The vitriol some people spew over such an important issue is utterly astounding.  Even more astounding, the fact that about 99.9% of what the Republicans are saying about [Canadian] universal health care is flat

Yeah...some of the things that have been said about Britain and our health system have really made me angry as well...but somehow making ignorant statements about a gobby little country on the other side of the Atlantic isn't as bad as making ignorant statements about your neighbour.

Sorry, hon!!! I issue an apology on behalf of all the idiots in my country - which, sadly, number higher than I would like. On the bright side, though, I'm not a Republican! Or a Democrat - politics gives me a headache. Hugs!

Well it's just good to know that you guys haven't all been snowed by this junk. I like having faith in my southern neighbours (even if I don't in your politicians).

Man, I can't believe the bullshit that's flying around. It's disheartening to me that so many Americans are so ignorant.
