Actually someone does want you to be doing this, Brian. (But thats a another story, and it involves another guileless blond.)
Misa is oblivious. She doesn't know that she's being watched, and she doesn't know that friendly man she met some months ago in the main room is planning to kill her and chop her into pieces. Thanks to Light's recent injury, her movements have become even more predictable, every night she visits him. On second thought, she's completely oblivious to everything unless it involves Light.
So here she comes, a lamb walking to her slaughter without even knowing it.
yeah, I'll have to check whose turn it is. sayitwith_iceDecember 1 2010, 05:57:49 UTC
Brian smiles at her, but pulls the water away. "So I see. Well, that's all right. Different people aren't all alike. I had one person once - right where you are - they lasted for hours. I think it was a bit of a contest of wills." He smiles a little wider. "I won, obviously."
He sets the glass aside, after having a sip for himself.
"Well then. Now that you're back, Miss Amane...you know, this place is really very convenient. People vanish without notice...and that's what you'll do. Vanish without notice."
Yes, it was. He just likes to share. And he smiles at her. "Your mistake," he says, softly. "People don't. And I'm very good at covering my tracks. Like I said. You just disappear. People will notice that, but with no body, no blood, and no witnesses...I don't think I'll have a problem."
He puts the cleaver back on his table, and picks up a knife, draws it down her sternum before cutting into the skin and muscle, down to the bone, then easing the line further down, bisecting her torso with a line of blood.
Misa simply doesn't say anything. She can't cry anymore... Someone is bound to... if not me, then someone else will, you will pay for this one day.
Actually there is a witness, but we doubt she'll snitch. Not when the killer is doing such an impressive job. ^_^
Misa eyes widen once again, and gives a silent scream, body trembling. The pain... oh the pain... if Misa could talk she would beg Brian to just kill her already.
Brian digs the knife a little deeper, through fat and into the muscle of her abdomen, his touch light, though, not pressing too hard. Not just yet. Watching her face with an expression that is very near to bliss.
Even if he can't hear her scream, seeing it is enough.
He laughs at her a little, and reaches up, brushes some of the hair off her no doubt sweaty forehead, his other palm coming down to rest on the unmarked portion of her stomach. His eyebrows twitch.
He laughs, teases the knife a little deeper until the point is pressing just barely against her sternum. He raises his eyebrows at her. "Well? Are you going to ask or not?"
It's not in her chest, he says, just sort of. It's not in her chest cavity, anyway. Could be worse. "Because I want to hear you say it," he murmurs. "Because it gives me satisfaction to hear you say the words. Much as I like talking with you...you're starting to bore me, I'm afraid." He turns the knife in a tiny circle, widening the stab wound he already made.
He withdraws the knife from her and smiles, and it's an expression of pure satisfaction, and almost gentleness, though in his terrible, awful, no good very bad way. Of course.
"Yes," he says, "I will."
And in one clean blow, slashes the knife across her throat.

Misa looks away, she doesn't want to talk to him. Seriously. "Someone is bound to notice, Rudy." She breathes out.

And he has needed this, oh yes he has.

Misa's eyes are open wide from shock and briefly makes a few noises detached from each other.
Why won't death come sooner, damn it?!

"Do you want to die?" He asks her, mildly.
Reply
"---will you if I said yes?"
Misa has the feeling that this man would probably deny her request and say no.

Oh maybe it's both. Her breaths are steadily becoming lighter and lighter.
Maybe, I can die like this... please.

She breathes and says in a whisper, "You know my answer... why are you even bothering to ask?"

"It always happens, in the end."

Misa wants to cringe, she'll think it again, just what type of person is this?
"Fine..." She utters in a bare plea. "Can you please... kill me?"
On the inside, Misa is mentally preparing as best as she can, she's thinking of Light's name almost like a chant.
