I hate babies who get their ears pierced. I waited until the respectable age of 17 to get MINE pierced. In truth, it was because I was scared. But that's not important, the issue at hand is this: there are babies crawling around out there, or sometimes just lying there, who have pierced ears; and that's just not right. Why get a baby's ears pierced

You know what's really stupid about doing that..babies are still growing (hopefully) so if they leave the earrings out for like a month, the holes close and they will have to repierce the baby's ears. I agree..ridiculous.

I generally think that getting a young kid's ears pierced spares them the memory of what could go wrong if the claire's/afterthoughts/icing employees screw up, plus the inevitable screw up will heal much faster. There are two reasons the piercing hurts, the first is because you're expecting it to which is somethings babies can't do yet and the second is because the piercer made a mistake. The bigger problem is not the piercing of babies ears but that claire's will allow anyone to pick up a piercing gun.

I can understand if it's part of your culture, but other than that I just generally think too much can go wrong... I mean c'mon, what's the first thing babies do when they see or touch jewelry.... pull on it or stick it in their mouth, piercing their ears just makes it readily available anytime of the day and then they'll have those stretched out old lady ears...ewe. Who wants stretched out old lady ears by the time they're six.

Don't get me started on piercing guns. UGH! The needle SEEMS scarier but trust me, it's cleaner and the piercing heals faster.
