I know what you mean--the film versions of Harry and Hermione just sizzle with chemistry, especially when we see how mismatched they are with Ginny and Ron. Emma and Daniel have a very real romantic spark between them and I wish the movies would take advantage of that.
And in the books, I genuinely like Harry and Ginny together, I just can't get behind Ron and Hermione. He's way too immature for someone as awesome as Hermione.
I'm the flip of you. I can understand R/Hr in the books, but can't stand H/G. :)
I hated that JK wrote Ron like he had to be everything Harry was. By the end of the story, he became like a lesser version of Harry and I was like, "So, what does that say about who Hermione should REALLY be with?".
Never made sense to me, but I'll go with it. Whatevs.
I do agree that Daniel and Emma have a really natural chemistry onscreen.
If only JK Rowling actually knew how to write romance...
was the primary reason I didn't have any canon ships this series. It was just too hard for me to take any of the romantic relationships she wrote seriously.
I shipped both H/Hr and R/Hr, but if it was my story, I would have written H/Hr.
I like Ron/Hermione more than I like Harry/Ginny, but I'm just glad that Harry had a good ending. That's really the main reason I started reading and finished the story in the first place.
