The shock of being thrown back and forth and hitting the walls leave him still on the floor for maybe a minute or a bit less. Struggling to stand up, he holds a hand against the wall and lifts his head to just look at Bellatrix with a glare of knives before opening his mouth.

The scream builds quickly and without much faltering; Sean's a little bruised up, but it shouldn't hold him back. Around them, glass begins to shatter and he's not going to stop, at least, not any time soon. When the sound waves reach Bellatrix, it should send her back at least a few feet or make or collapse and even feel a bit nauseous. All of this happens within at least a thirty to sixty second time frame, and he lets up, waiting to see if she'll continue to attack him.

Well, of course he'll start screaming. Most of her victims do.

But most when they do don't have the sort of effect Sean is having. Bellatrix crumples to the floor with her hands pressed over her ears. When it subsides, she scrabbles backward in a crab-walk, looking actually fearful for a moment.

"Quietus!" The spell is hissed between clenched teeth, full of of venom as she points her wand in the teenage boy's direction; an attempt to quell his potential to do more than speak normally.

And here she thought she'd been dealing with a Muggle. She keeps her wand trained on him, watching Sean warily. He's now elevated himself to a threat to be taken seriously.

When Sean goes to scream once again after her spell, all he manages is a bit of an awkward yell, that isn't even technically a yell anymore. Confusion twists onto Sean's features and he frowns.

"What did you do?" He sounds angry, almost upset. His voice was low and accusing -- the one thing that he could do was taken away from him. He repeats himself, louder and with more power in his voice, "What did you do?"

Pushing herself to her feet, Bellatrix again looks quite pleased with herself. "Just teaching you to use your inside voice," she mocks snidely.

It's overridden by genuine curiosity. "How is it that you do that?" She tips her head back, the better to look down her nose at him. The level of her wand does not sink in the least, still aimed squarely at his chest.

"I don't need a stick to use my own kind of tricks." Sean barely got angry, but the way that she automatically put herself above him was infuriating. She was attacking him for no reason, made him unable to use his power, and now she was questioning him about what he could do?

"Take back what you did." He's eying that wand of yours, Bellatrix. He doesn't even want to risk taking his eyes off it.

"You must think I'm a fool." A lilt to the witch's voice as she rolls her eyes. "I'm not about to give you back that voice of yours to use against me. You should count yourself grateful that I didn't remove your ability to speak entirely." Like she's done the boy some great kindness.

She clucks her tongue against her teeth, expression full of sympathy. "Don't you fret. It will return to you... Eventually." But Bellatrix can't keep a straight face forever, and she laughs hard and loud at the young man's disadvantage.

He shifts his weight from one foot to the other, narrowing his eyes at the witch. "I don't know why you chose to do this to me, but I don't have anything to give you."

Unless there was, of course, a loophole, and that was why she was attacking him. Did killing him mean earning a token? He didn't want to think about it. It was horrible -- arriving here, then not know if he was going to die or not because of a woman who was insane.

There is a sudden intrusion into Bellatrix's mind. Brief, and fleeting. She can't tell what's happened, only that some presence picked at her consciousness, and then left as quick as it came. The rage boils in her, and Sean is the most convenient target for her to lash out at.

That what he has to give to her - an outlet for her frustration. Bellatrix curves her mouth into a wicked smile, wand poised and prepared to cast.

"Cruci-"

Something stays Bella's hand. At the last moment, her voice cuts off, she straightens up, eyes wide and head canted, staring past Sean and listening for something. "Lucius." Fixing her malevolent gaze on him again she offers something of a conciliatory smile. "Live to fight another day, boy. I have other matters I must attend to."

There's no parting fit of laughter as Bellatrix simply folds into living smog and shadow, thick, dark, and unnatural. It circles Sean once, twice, and then past him for another part of the dormitory, where her comrade in arms is calling for her.
