The house always leaves us second-guessing. And with more new arrivals all the time, there doesn't seem to be any shortage of worlds out there, nor any limit to the mansion's power to access all of them ( Read more... )

Do you prefer to read fiction or non-fiction?

Ah, either will do right now. One can learn about a culture through their literature, so I have no objections to either genre.

"The Holy Sidia epic is from my world. It's supposed to be history, but it's terribly romanticized. Poetic license, I guess.

I've been studying magic from many different worlds recently, I have a number of them in my room, but I can return them if you want to read any.

It sounds interesting in any case. I shall go look for it then. Thank you.

You can learn magic here? Ah, but that must mean you already have some magical capabilities?

I like Proust's In Search of Lost Time. My mother used to read it to me when I was younger.

Hm, I believe I've heard of Proust, but I haven't read that book. If you enjoyed it, then it must be a good read. I will have to check to see if the library has it.

Ah, I wouldn't wish to trouble you, but I will let you know if the library does or does not have a copy, thank you. It is interesting enough that certain books or authors are still recognizable across different worlds.

That is good to hear, thank you. I wanted to ask if the library also has magazines? I can't imagine if there will be subscriptions sent here, but it doesn't hurt to ask.

Yeah. You can get anything you want in the library. Even movies.

Thank you. I did want to look at a few of the financial magazines... But I hadn't know about the movies. That might also be something to do to pass the time or even to learn about other worlds.

Mia said I could probably learn. Are books things that you read?

Well, it's text or words that you read. And books are just one way to get to those words. ... Have you ever seen a book before?
