HOLY SHIT!

Why didn't the FDA tell us that "Earthbound Farms" and its subsidiaries were the e.coli company? Why do I have to fucking find this out from snopes.com?

The government pisses me off to no end sometimes. They want to rule us and manipulate us, but when it comes to disseminating information instead of randomly dispersing fear, they're useless.

i think that's more like your local news hiding it - it was on our news, CNN.com, and other places all weekend. :(

i hope you and yours escape unscathed! *hugs*

(i don't know about the small furries, but for the most part, i think you just get really sick for a few days, unless you get a really horrific case of infection)

They say, for most people, that you are sick for about a week. My poor mom had symptoms for a week that she believes were caused by the spinach she ate(she lives in Wisconsin) they were bad, but they passed.

Where did you find this 'killed 119 people?'

Because from everything I read one person is dead and 109 or so people are infected

It was on Yahoo yesterday the FDA is now going to spray veggies with a virus that is supposed to kill E-coli. I'm wondering if the two things are related. Also, what else is in the spray? Like "hey if we have an outbreak people will freak and allow us to use this crap." Last thing I want is more FDA junk messing with my food. I don't have the link though =(

I hadn't heard anything about the e.coli story until yesterday when my sis mentioned it. I've been munching on greens all week but I lucked out and my salad mix wasn't that brand for a change.
