There is a carnival being erected in my street as we speak. Like, I had to hop off my bike on my way home because there's a merry-go-round in the intersection. That kind of carnival.

I also live across the street from a convent and Catholic church. It's Our Lady of Mt. Carmel, and apparently it's her feast day sometime soon. Thus, 10 days of ( Read more... )

aha! i know where you live! i work about three blocks away, at pleasant and 120th, at mt. carmel-holy rosary school. the m116 is all messed up, too. have fun with a carnival in your front yard :)

i don't think it's going past 1st ave... if you need to take it headed west, then get on at 116 and 1st and the bus will go up to 122nd, over to 2nd ave, then back down to 116th at 2nd. a pain in the ass, i know...

haha, sweet. they're advertising games as well as rides, but i haven't figured out if there's skeeball yet or not.

(hm. I really wanted to use the word "ascertained" in that comment, but there are times when it really just makes me sound like an asshole...)
