Simple Question...

I'm in an apartment...and I was just wondering the best way to hang paper lanterns to keep them from being flush to the wall. If I could help it, I didn't really wanna put a hole in the ceiling...since that's how *I* was thinking it should be hung LOL Any more suggestions?

i think that's the only way.
they are really light and all i did was use a 2 small cup hooks. you can patch a tiny hole like that with wall filler easy. it also depends i'd assume on what kind of ceiling. plaster or dry wall.

In PAD someone uses a bracket to hang one (the Marlene Dietrich Africa Jungle Fantasy room) so that the bracket, which is L-shaped, goes along the wall & ceiling and the lamp hangs off that. It wouldn't take a strong bracket, as they weigh almost nothing.

Ooh, I saw that in PAD too! I like the one where he used hollow tv tray table legs. Or maybe that's what you're talking about.

There was another room where he hung two in a corner, and made a square of fake ceiling that was only attached to the walls, and he ran the cords down the corner and concealed them. I love that book.

i would try using a plant bracket--that's what i use for my candle lantern. that should work.
