Living in the attic of my girlfriend's childhood home - Finally happy with how things look!

Thanks! The lamp was pretty easy to make. I took a cheap lamp that I got from Target and ripped the fabric off the lamp shade. Then I took slides and used clear tape tape the slides on. I went around the bottom of the shade frame first and then taped more on top of that row and so on. I've made a few of them over the last few years, actually!

what a fabulous place! so artistic and colorful! I still don't quite understand about the lamp, which is incredible. what are the slides taped TO, exactly?

To themselves, actually. Imagine you were making a quilt. Each side is attached to the side of another slide.

I like it but in my opinion (just mine!) it's got too much stuff everywhere. Take about half of it out and I would like it better, but again that is just me.

Also, Sandwich is an awesome name for a Turtle!! LOL

I agree that there is too much stuff everywhere, but I'm a collector, and there is zero storage space here! I can't wait to get our own place so I can spread all my junk out a bit... lol.

I love all the pops of fun color (turquoise! pink! lime green! yellow!). But OH MY GOD, I am in love with that pink chair. WHAT A FIND!
