Thank you! The bed is definitely my favorite thing in the room. It's a vast improvement over the futon I'd been sleeping on for two years, too. ;-)

The windows are great for cross-breezes in the evening and they let in so much light during the day. They cut down on wall space for hanging photos/art, though. But I think there's enough stuff around the room to make it look decorated.

Oh, for sure! And you're talking to someone who has an attic bedroom--one wall is a door, one wall is a (small) window, and the other two walls are slanted so you can't even hang anything on them! If I had the choice of walls to hang art (as much as I loooove wall art) or more windows, I'd pick windows any day. Guess I'm just a windows kind of gal :-P

Thank you...I just bought curtains today for two of the rooms in my apartment and while a part of me was having buyers remorse, you just reminded me of how much good curtains can do to a room. Also, that Tiffany lamp is gorgeous! (And I have the same Ikea bowl lamps! Love them!)

Good curtains make a HUGE difference! All of that remorse will go away once you get them hung up. :-)

I spotted the faux-Tiffany lamp while I was driving down the street one day. Some guy was having a sidewalk sale. Evidently there was a matching floor lamp, but someone got to that before me. This one was only $20!
