I don't have any before shots, unfortunately, but I bought this wooden coffee table for $20 at a furniture store. It's very sturdy, but was badly scratched up. I painted it pale green and used crackle paint to give it a weathered look. Then I decoupaged the top with botanical print art paper. Now that I've moved and updated my decor some, I'm thinking of redoing it with a different color and theme.
PS: That's my 7' long tufted yellow velvet sofa you see in the background. It's from the 1970s and I got it at a yard sale for $25. I love that thing, and I'm just waiting for the "Show us your... saucy sofas" thread so I can show it off!
I want this soooo bad! Where'd you get the paper? I wouldn't straight up copy you, but I gotta say it'd look so darn good in my living room =] And I can't wait to see the couch. I haven't done anything with seating and I'm trying to ignore it since I don't have the $ for anything, but that doesn't work out that well, haha.
I got the paper at a local store here in Tucson called PAPER PAPER PAPER (original, no?). But I'm pretty sure this site has it as well: http://www.hollanders.com/papers/ At any rate, it's a great source for similar paper. I could spend an hour just browsing all the great printed paper! Feel free to use the same design if you can find it - I certainly don't mind. I'm sure I'm not the first person to decoupage with that design, and I'm sure I won't be the last! :)
