They are kind of pricey, but they look awesome and keep my collection out for all to see, so it's worth it (they sat in my closet for a while after the move).

I'm from boston! this post kind of made me die a little with envy. my boyfriend and I have been talking about moving someplace new and bigger (we live in a tiiiiny apartment in brookline) and your place is like my dream! it's so sunny and cozy and oh god I LOVE all the kitschy stuff. maybe we should start looking at places in somerville!

FWIW, my commute to downtown from The 'Ville was about 25 minutes total (bus or walk to Davis, redline to Park St.)

I'm betting your green line experience is WAY longer.

The 'Ville is markedly cheaper for rent, too.

we moved from brookline as well! the neighborhood is... less scenic, but safe, and the rent is so much cheaper.

I love all this stuff but it makes me wonder how people can live with cleaning so much stuff and dealing with the dust that has got to get on all those litttttle pieces of things. Lol. Its amazing looking.
