I finally have something worth showing, and it's not even mine.

My landlady is moving out of her house, an old Tudor style home which my boyfriend and I rent the basement apartment of. She is a huge fan of Botticelli, so much that she had been painting the walls with her own personal rendition of his painting Primavera. Sadly, the new renters are painting over it, but I asked if I could snap some photos of it

wow she did a wonderful job of fitting them together and if I was renting that place I'd have them not paint over it! We were getting to Boteccelli in my PLastic Arts class. Mind if I save these on my comp to show my teacher later?

awesome! thanks I know my teacher will loooove it and ask me why anyone will want to paint over this. I'm a 2nd year art student and my 4th year art student sister agrees with me... it's a horrible thing to loose.

I am a big fan of Botticelli.
I really love how she recreated his work around the house. It really is quite sad that it will soon be covered...by white,beige, or some other "transitional neutral" no doubt. Sigh.

Yeah. I can understand it not being someone's style, but it's so obvious how much work went into it that I can't believe they'd paint over it.
