I was recently down in Florida, visiting my parents for Christmas. My mom got her degree in set dressing and I've always enjoyed the way she's decorated.

Maybe! It's a village but I don't know what kind of village -- for years, my brother would give her a new building at Christmas to expand the town. My sister-in-law keeps threatening to bring some Homies to spice things up.

Hi, when can I move into Spare Room #2?

What a gorgeous place! (And I can't blame you for wanting that red chair.)

I wouldn't advise it! That's the room I slept in while there and, I must warn you, the sofa bed is dreadful!

I'd recommend spare room #1 though..

I think I enjoy the way it's decorated too. :) Tell your mom she's the best, amazing! :D

It's just Billy bookcases from Ikea! I love the bookcases too and have been trying to decide if I should do them in my apartment. I don't have light wood stuff in the room I want to put them though and I don't know that their dark wood options really go either.

Aren't the Billy bookcases the ones that you can get where you can put whatever you want (fabric, paper) in the doors? Then you could coordinate them with anything!

I absolutely love the way that she's gone about hanging the art on the walls!

I second this... I love that it's a repeating motif!

It's nice, too, because it allows her to change things up at her whim without leaving a bunch of little holes in the wall.

Third! It's wonderful! Are those products homemade or in a store bought kit?
