Parent's House

I was recently down in Florida, visiting my parents for Christmas. My mom got her degree in set dressing and I've always enjoyed the way she's decorated.





This is the little nook leading from the mud/laundry room (does Florida have 'mud rooms' or is that a northeast thing? I grew up in New England so that's what I know them as). I have to beg forgiveness on the blurriness of some of these pictures; using a flash makes things look like crap and this house doesn't get a whole lot of natural light.

From the nook, you move into the huge main room which is the dining/living area. I love the red chair in this picture. I hope, someday, I can convince my mom that she needs to redo the house in a more modern style and that she should give this chair to me:
