Really most things I do are shenanigan-based.

Yeah, in Muncie. No, I don't know why. No, he hasn't gone on it yet, but I can fully picture him doing so.

All I have to say, aside from you + shenanigans = otp, is that I'm pretty sure I wouldn't have been into my current guy (12 years/father of my children/guy I bought actual property with) if we'd met 10 years earlier. And that's even just taking me back to adult years, not even high school freshman, for heaven's sakes. So, you know, open mind and all.

Alright, totally true. And I'm not really listing reasons why we broke up as kids, more like reasons I can picture us breaking up now, based on the stuff we talked about. But to be fair, I don't really know him anymore and I may be pleasantly surprised.

WISE WORDS FROM SOMEONE WHO WE SHOULD CALL QUEEN GEORGE

I don't know why I'm all-capsing tonight so much

Probably because the engagement fairy powers are more powerful than I could have ever imagined.

No, but seriously, this is good advice. +1351

WELL this is an extremely exciting development! And high five to you for being brave - belated bravery is sometimes the best bravery in my experience. This gave me flashbacks of when my first boyfriend and I got together, because it involved dense failure to recognise my blatant flirting on his part and here-goes-nothing bravery on mine, and also because I knew going into it that it was going to go down in flames but that didn't make the whole thing any less fun or make me want to do it any less. ANYWAY, it sounds like you had a really nice time, and HOORAY for your fast-approaching date!
