i have felt my first major earthquake. 5.6 in milpitas. shook the house. made quite the interesting noise. kind of a creaking noise, like two cement blocks rubbing against each other. and then there was that strange jingling sound. not sure what that was. definitely quite the experience. i had thought that earthquakes would be easier to deal with ( Read more... )

Indeed. We felt it here, too, and I have a friend from Maine here. We were both going WTFBBQ.

My mommy felt it too. xD crazy shit.

we all just kinda jumped and flailed a bit, trying to figure out what was going on. it made a really creepy noise.

very crazy. apparently it was felt all the way up to richmond.

Yep. My parents are in Novato, which is near-ish to Richmond.

I was very confused at first and attempted to navigate the hallway while it was going on xD.

yeah it was wild. never felt anything like that. or heard anything like that either. but from what the news is saying, not much damage happened despite it's rating.

oh rly? they're quite close to me then

it seems by the news, nothing major really happened. mostly things falling off shelves. most buildings here are either earthquake proof or low to the ground

Holy schneikes. XD; Iiiii would have spazzed. And hidden somewhere. And stayed there for a good hour afterwards, knowing me. But... Whoo, earthquake! Makes me think of the tremors that went through Baldwin, my freshman year. XD

that one at baldwin was liek a 1.5, 2.0 at best.
it was quite scary and i felt the need to hide under something like edgeworth XD
