My dad must have had some amazing luck. Its good enough to be lucky once but its a marvel if you are lucky twice. A few years ago when Mumbai was rocked by blasts albiet in smaller proportion my dad was on the next railway platform sitting cosy reading news paper or chatting to his train-mates when the adjoining platform rocked in explosion. Agreed we must do something, but what? What can I do sitting here in the US? I would not even have known if my folks were well if things had entirely broken down in the city. I think all I can do is talk about it, condemn it and then move on. It is extremely difficult to actually do anyhting that will make a difference.

You can gain political influence in the US. You can help lobby for getting more visibility to the terrorism scene in India. I think there is a lot that can be done sitting here in the US also.

Agree with you that something must be done. Apart from what you've suggested, anything in the short term? Can't come up with anything right now, but sure there is. Have a feeling that unless something is done - this country will slip into a revolution within the next 100 years.
